Although there can be huge benefits to weekly contact with a befriender, we recognise that belonging to a wider community, where possible, is the best outcome by far.

Research suggests this is especially true where this includes intergenerational connections. In this we champion the value of fringe activities run by churches that serve as connection points (i.e. clubs, cafes, dance hall events). You can find out more about how this can look in our history page.
